Located on the grounds of Yarra Valley Estate, the Edible Forest is a thriving one-acre permaculture food forest. Every plant is chosen with care—for its ability to nourish, heal, attract wildlife, or enrich the soil.
Our guided tours take you through this unique space, where you’ll learn about fascinating plants and discover practical ways to grow and use them at home. Accessible to all, this experience combines sustainability, education, and the simple joy of connecting with nature.
After the tour, stop by our nursery to take home a piece of the forest and start your own sustainable journey.

Tour Times: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 11am
Enjoy a true sensory experience at the Edible Forest, located on the grounds of Yarra Valley Estate. Wander through our one-acre permaculture garden, discovering unique plants, the hum of bees, and the health benefits of edible and medicinal species—tasting as you go.
To make your visit even more special, pre-order a picnic hamper and relax on Yarra Valley Estate’s 120 acres of bushland after your tour. Public tours run for approximately 45 minutes and conclude at our nursery, where you can take home your own piece of the forest.
